GROW – Assign fields, editable zone names and editable field IDs

Assign fields, editable zone names and editable field IDs
In today’s update you can now assign fields from one farm to another within the same account. We have also added the ability to edit zone names and customer field IDs and no longer require you to upload a boundary for every field before you can save and exit an account.
Here’s how:

  • Assign fields: We know that from time to time, the farm that a field/s is associated with may change. You can now reflect these changes in Grow by using the Assign fields functionality. On the Account Homepage there is a new option under the Actions menu – Assign fields. This feature allows you to select a field(s) and reassign it to another farm within the same account. Soil analysis, soil properties and cropping data will remain associated with a field after it is reassigned. If backdated imagery is required, please request this via a Support Desk ticket.
  • Zone names are editable: If Grow’s default zone names do not reflect the names you want for zones, you are now able to edit them. Edited zone names will re-order alphabetically when the account is reloaded.
  • Editable customer field IDs: To make sure a field’s D365 ID always matches the Customer field ID in Grow, we have added the ability to update the Customer field ID.
  • Accounts can be saved with empty fields: If you don’t have field boundaries available for all empty fields in an account, you can save and come back and add them at a later date.

Reassign fields

Step 1: New option under the Actions menu ‘Assign fields’. In this example we will assign fields from Chadlington Farm to Enstone Farm.

Step 2: Select the fields that you want to assign to another farm. Click Assign to another farm button

Step 3: Select the farm you want to assign the fields to

Step 4: Pop-up to confirm what you are about to do

Step 5: Re-assignment complete.  Chadlington Farm shows 13 fields (where it previously had 15) and Enstone Farm has 11 fields (where it previously had 9)

Log in to GROW to check out the updates today, and please send any feedback you may have to info@digital.originenterprises.com to help us keep improving.
