Through NUE-Leg, our innovative digital platforms and expertise in crop nutrition will create optimal conditions for clover to fix high levels of atmospheric nitrogen in commercial farm settings, significantly reducing the carbon footprint of grassland farming.

An essential component of the project involves identifying the specific nutritional requirements of new legume varieties and developing customised nutrition programmes to support high-yielding swards through Origin’s NUTRI-MATCH service with a NUTRI-CO2OL validated production carbon footprint.

Complementing these efforts, Origin is creating user-friendly tools that enable farmers to assess soil nutrient profiles, select suitable clover varieties and monitor clover content using smartphone technology.
